VMA1 into sport 100?

I just bought a cherry sport 100, I'm currently in the process of restoring a 1966 Allstate VMA1. I have rebuilt the motor but the body is in bad shape. My question is, how hard will it be to put the 6 volt 125 motor in place of the twelve volt 100? How hard will it be? and is it worth it? Thanks for any response
