vespa pinging

I have a 79 p200e with a cal. sidecar(approx. wieght 275 lbs) that pings severely in(mostly) 4'th gear. I use ngk spark plugs and have gone 2 grades cooler with no noticeable improvement. I use 92 octane gas and synthetic motul oil. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem(cooler plug, octane boost fuel additive?)????
