"Vespaking and Craigslist proposal"

Because craigslist has the functionality to let users remove posts, I propose using the BBS to bring these down. By posting links to the offending ads, BBS users can easily rack up enough "flags" to get the ad removed. So, start posting links to your local craigslist and start flagging!

good point! i've been doing that as well, but as a community, it should be no problem taking these down.

unfortunately, tackling ebay is more of a problem.

   ha! apparantly, we are wrong:
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mcy/79363972.html

so, add that to the "flag" list. here's others i found on a quick scan of major cities, searching for "vespaking" under the motorcycle for sale section. hit them up. (unfortunately, google is only picking up the first one which makes this difficult).

Austin has a warning against asian resto's...someone should post on the WDC board a rebuttal that even if the bike IS italian, that it still may be an asian resto and point to the bbs

   ALL,

if any of you use MyYahoo, you are able to add craigslist postings as a module to your homepage.

and to be sure this is done properly, use the "prohibited" flag, as there are different thresholds for each type of flag. if we're using different types of flags, it might not meet the threshold. besides, these posts break craigslist's terms and conditions:

Prohibited Flag: "use this flag for ads that include Content...that is false, deceptive, misleading, deceitful, misinformative, or constitutes 'bait and switch' Translation: Don't be dishonest."

as for the bajaj, I don't mean the one that's listed as the bajaj but the other one. I'm not posting the link to it though.

Good point. I guessed the "prohibited" flag was the most appropriate, because the craigslist terms and conditions definately imply that bullshit info and scams are not acceptable. And the Vespaking ain't nothin' if he's not a scammer. You can sell crap-ass shit, just make sure you describe it, "I'm selling this because it's a piece of crap-ass shit..." so on and so forth. It'd be cool to not see the king on craigslist anymore, or even better, to take his bitch-ass down!

Working on program to do just that.
Any constructive input from programmers/geeks is appreciated.
We must work to keep the public forums alive before the government legislates us out of business.

Here's a bit of info I found after digging.

The domain was registered by some one at a company called Allshores and the e-mail addy on the Vespa King site is @allshores.com.

Go to http://www.allshores.com/

Then look up the contacts, and it has phone numbers for the princiapls, who are also named on the Vespa King Website.

Yep. I mean that. Plus, now that the correct spelling of Firisin is there, you can find a current phone directory listing for him in Danvers, Ma.

Now one can find a current address, one could give the state DMV a call to mention that some one might be selling motor vehicles without a vehicle dealer license?

Big fine per infraction? Might be easier than tracking down each listing on Craig's list?

Just a thought
