"Fuji Rabbit 90 - Any owners?? Any Fuji owners??"
| |
I have found a Fuji Rabbit 90. I have always admired the Fuji scooters, just never thought I would come across one. Since I have no experience at all with these, is there anything I should look for when I check it out this weekend? Are parts available anywhere or is it needle in a haystack thing? I did a google search for Fuji Rabbit 90 parts and it didn't look very promising, although I my entire search lasted 30 seconds, so I do need to look more. All I know about it now is it is "old, and doesn't run". I wish it was one of their bigger scooters, but oh-well. So is it worth having? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Curtis |

Check out fujirabbit.com if you have not already. JF Gratton, who maintains that site, had a small stash of 90 parts at one time. Other than that, a few people have 90 spares, including me, so check in once you see the bike. There are also a few enthusiasts in Australia with a good stock of spares, and of course Rabbit House in Japan, which can supply quite a lot, but I have not dealt with them re 90 stuff. Good luck, and let us know what you find.

I own a 90, and just got it running this past summer. It's nimble, lightweight, and dare I say it... mopedie. I really like it. I paid 25 bucks for mine, but spent a bunch of cash getting a few of NOS parts from Japan. The shipping and money wire transfer is where a lot of the cost went. I probably have several hundred (even more?) into it by now. The scoot was seized and needed the top end redone. The small end con rod bushing had to be fabricated because it was impossible to get. Some parts will be impossible to get, but where there is a will there is a way. Tire size is very odd also. Only thing available domestically are knobby off road tires. Yes a labor of love, and you won't get the cash back with a sale. Even on a 25 dollar special with a seize. If the scooter seems like it will run and looks pretty good, I'd get it. Worth having in my humble. Charlie. |

This is the only pic that I have at the moment. The bodywork has spent more time off than on at this point! But it is back together and running. As for the engine, I only had to do the top end and pull the clutch for adjustment. Tire size 2.50-15 |
