Olivia"s House is a charitable organization that provides free help and education to children who need help dealing with the loss of a loved one. The York County Scooter Club has chosen Olivia"s House as their community charity. Olivia"s House has touched the hearts of many children in our community and needs support like ours to be able to continue to give free help to children in need of their program. Last year the York County Scooter Club was able to raise $1000 by organizing the 1st Annual Olivia"s House Charity Ride. This year we want to set our goal higher to $1500 or even higher! Pre-Registration for the ride is $10. Registration at the door is $15. Registered riders are asked to print out a pledge sheet and collect pledges for the event. This is a big event, and draws a huge crowd. It is also a lot of fun, with German music, German beer, and German food. As you know, we are planning to do a rally for riders of German scooters that will coincide with the German Festival. Roller Treffen 1 (Scooter Rally 1 in English) will be a chance for owners of Heinkels, Zundapps, NSUs and the like to ride and show off their beautiful German scooters. Roller Treffen 1 will be a city rally with scooterists staying at local hotels and friend"s houses. The German festival is presented by the Deutschamerikanischer Buergerverein von Maryland.
